Cindy Henkelman is a first-time author. Hero Cape is a story of finding the courage to reach out for help. It is also a story that hopefully resonates with survivors of trauma to help them know they are not alone.
Cindy was born and raised by her parents in Edmonton, Alberta. She is a triplet, having one identical sister and one fraternal sister, as well as an older brother. Her love for her family is never-ending.
Cindy is married to her supportive husband, and they share two wonderful sons together. They currently live in the hamlet of Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Her hobbies include camping, walks with her puppy Harley, working out, reading, connecting with loved ones, and writing. Her biggest passion: meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Cindy is a passionate advocate for survivors of sexual trauma and a dedicated author committed to sharing her story of resilience and empowerment. Through her writing, she seeks to raise awareness, foster understanding, and inspire healing within her community and beyond.
